Below is the statement issued by the Lion’s Roar Aotearoa management about the recent frequent breakings of our broadcast.

We want to address the recent frequent disruptions to our streaming service and share with you what’s been happening behind the scenes.

We have identified a suspected deliberate interference targeting our radio stream. It appears that a third party is attempting to overload our data links during peak hours, pushing our systems beyond their limits and causing the stream to become unavailable or unstable for many of you.

Rest assured, our team has been working tirelessly to counter these attacks and restore stable service as quickly as possible. Thanks to these efforts, we’ve been able to bring the station back online and keep the vibes flowing for our loyal listeners.

However, we’re aware this isn’t a permanent solution. To fully eliminate these threats, we’re currently working on upgrading our technology infrastructure and investing in advanced network security tools. Our mission is clear: to safeguard the stream, defend against future attacks, and provide you with the uninterrupted, high-quality experience you deserve.
