AHANGAMA, SRI LANKA (Friday, January 23, 2026) — In a swift move to enforce road safety and legal compliance among visitors, the Ahangama Police have initiated legal action against nine foreign nationals caught riding motorcycles without valid driving licenses.

The group, who arrived in Sri Lanka on tourist visas, was intercepted during a special traffic operation conducted directly in front of the Ahangama Police Station on Thursday (Jan 22).
